Intake
90 minutes (Child & Adolescent)
60 minutes (Adult)

$895 (Child & Adolescent)
$595 (Adult)

The goal of the intake appointment is to create a safe, trusting, and therapeutic environment; gather clinical data, check vital signs and complete a neurological exam, request appropriate labs, contact treatment teams, schools, and family members, and develop an initial assessment and treatment plan.

To save time and money, you (and/or your family) should complete intake forms, bring records, and have the therapist and other treatment team members’ contact information. Depending on the complexity of the presentation, we may need to have 2 to 3 50-minute appointments to develop an accurate in-depth assessment and establish the treatment plan with initial treatment steps. The second and/or third appointment would fall under the 50-minute follow-up section.

Insurance

If you choose to use your insurance benefits you will need to find out if you have out of network mental health benefits as we are considered out of network.

Most PPO health insurance plans have these benefits. If you elect to use out of network benefits you will pay us directly per appointment. We can provide you with a receipt also referred to as a Superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. The insurance company will then reimburse you all or a portion of the appointment fee based upon your specific benefit plan.

It is best to call your insurance directly to find out what your benefits are while working with an out of network psychiatrist. This means that you will be responsible for paying the full appointment fee at the time of each scheduled appointment.

Mental health services may also be covered by your HSA, Flex Plan, or Medical Savings Account.

Cancellation Policy – at least 24-hour notice

To cancel or reschedule an appointment, you are expected to notify me at least 24 hours in advance of our appointment. If you do not provide me with at least 24-hour notice in advance, you are responsible for the full payment for the missed session.

An illness or emergency situation will void the 24-Hour Cancellation Policy.

Good Faith Estimate

Good Faith Estimate is a new law as of January 2022.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected fees for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
